Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join the Pass & Seymour Team in Concord, NC. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for driving improved quality results and establishing the quality “vision” for the Company. This would include “end to end” quality focus to include incoming material quality, quality associated with manufacturing processes, assessment of finished goods quality to our warehouses and customers, and improved “Voice of the Customer” (VOC) feedback results. When quality issues are identified, must be able to gain alignment with key stakeholders to determine root cause of issues and develop aligned corrective action plans using all appropriate continuous improvement (CI) tools. In part, this position’s responsibilities will include the planning, coordination and management of the activities of the Quality Assurance Department, to ensure that they support all Company quality objectives.
Develop and maintain the Plant Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO certification. Analyze quality data feedback from customers and manufacturing to ensure product quality integrity is maximized by plant resources. Interface with New Product Development on new projects/products targeted for production. Work with suppliers on quality related issues, and warehouses/distributors on finished goods quality issues. Effectively manage and develop salaried Quality Engineer (if so staffed), and ensure direct hourly QA personnel are properly trained to carry out the QA duties on the shop floor, and to immediately report any issues impacting finished goods quality or customer satisfaction.
