Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Lead to join the Data, Power and Control Team in Reno, NV.

 

The Warehouse Team Lead supports daily warehouse operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring high-quality packing and outbound processes. This role provides backup to Logistics and Receiving, assists with loading/unloading, and works closely with other departments to keep materials flowing smoothly. Strong SAP skills, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and organization are essential. This person will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and will be responsible for the following:

 

Main Job Duties:

 

· The scheduling and handling of domestic freight.

· Coordinating orders with the logistics team.

· Coordinating receiving, shipping, and belt positions/ having comprehensive knowledge of each

· Aid in cycle counting and routine maintenance of inventory.

· Ensure all outbound shipments meet quality standards.

· Must be fully capable of always conducting themselves in a professional manner in accordance with Legrand standards.

· Schedule outbound shipments (domestic and international) including preparation of documentation, management of packaging materials, and packaging of product to be shipped as well as arrangement of transportation services.

· Proper understanding and utilization of SAP software.

· Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of materials and information to ensure outstanding service for internal and external customers.

· Maintain high standards for packing processes.

· Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as well as the put-away of product.

· Provide back-up support to department and logistics team.

· Communicate effectively with the shipping, Belt, position to facilitate product into the warehouse.

· Follow instructions as provided by supervisor.

· Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications.

· Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment.

· Oversee and maintain cleanliness and organization of personal and assigned work areas.

· Adherent to all company safety regulations.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Experience:

· A minimum of 3 years of shipping and receiving experience is required

· A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

· Must speak English.

· Must have basic math skills.

· Must have basic computer skills.

· RF scanners and use of warehouse management systems. (SAP or similar).

· Ability to push a cart/pallet jack with up to several hundred pounds is required.

· Forklift certification is required. (will train on-site).

· Valid driver’s license is required.

· Knowledge of inventory control practices is preferred.

· Ability to work overtime when required.

· Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift is required.

· Ability to hear, speak, kneel, and bend.

· You must be capable of lifting 40 pounds.

· Capable of working in a manufacturing environment.
