Position Description/Company Info

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a temporary three month assignment for a Quality Control Inspector to work with the Electrorack Team in Anaheim, CA. Performs inspection of first article, in process parts or finished goods for conformance to specifications. Also perform receiving inspection.  Investigate non conformances, determines root causes and assist in corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Education:  High School diploma or GED or equivalent background/experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience in close tolerance inspection.  

  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
    • Basic reading and writing skills in English
    • Basic math skills (able to add and subtract fractions)   
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions and other job-related materials
    • Must understand international systems
    • Quality System training preferred
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Able to stand the majority of the work day.
    • Good mechanical aptitude.
    • Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
    • Familiarity with metal fabrication, electro-mechanical assemblies and electronics assembly prefer
    • Use of wide variety of dimensional measurement equipment including calipers, micrometer, height gage, fixed gages, basic electrical test equipment
    • Basic understand of ISO 9001 requirements
    • Must be accurate, dependable, and able to work well in fast paced environment
    • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

    • Hearing Protection (as required)
    • Eye Protection Required (safety glasses required)
    • Protective work boots and shoes
    • Protective clothing, i.e., uniforms (as required)

Position Attributes

  • Perform targeted detailed first article, in process and final inspections according to customer order specifications.
  • Confirm that quantities, descriptions, and assemblies of the items received and processed match shipping manifest, bills of materials, and other documentation.
  • Generate Non-Conforming Material Tags and communicate all necessary inventory adjustments.
  • Enter data to track part history and in-hours inefficiency/defect rates, etc, into computer.
  • Ensure that labels and installation guides are accurate and correctly packages in out-going shipments.
  • Perform within requirements of the documented Quality System.
  • Assist in generating monthly reports necessary to track part/product history and in-house efficiency/defect rates, etc.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and perform duties in safe and efficient manner.
