Position Description/Company Info

Purpose: The Warehouse Associate performs various clerical and physical tasks that provide direct support to departmental as well as overall warehouse operations.  A Warehouse Associate must possess a basic understanding of internal processes and systems.

Qualifications

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established policy and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment; arrange for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed
  • Perform assigned warehouse tasks associated with inventory control, receiving, material handling, or order fulfillment.
  • Follow other job-related instructions and perform job-related tasks as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently with some direction
  • Able to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Able to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Basic computer/keyboarding skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment
  • Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, twist and bend to the floor for duration of work period
  • Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Able to multi-task
  • Team player capable of working with a wide range of people
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills
  • Education: High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience: 0-1 years in warehouse or similar environment
