    Legrand has a great opportunity for an Engineering CO-OP to join the team in our New London, CT location. We are seeking an Engineering student to design, assemble, organize, program and document new testing procedures for high performance copper cable and component testing using TIA and ISO balunless method.

    • Intern student


    • Currently enrolled or completed BSME or BSEE.
    • Some experience with Labview.
    • Basic mechanical design for fixturing.
    • Familiar with electrical test and measurement.
    • Understands some RF theory and design.
    • Strong written and verbal skills for creating instructional documentation.



    • Solidworks modeling parts and assemblies.
    • Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
    • Familiar with VBA or C++.
    • Ability to conduct engineering studies and experimentation.

    Position Attributes

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Full calibration procedure with documentation.
    • Upgraded fixtures for FTP cabling and connector testing.
    • Test procedure for cable and channel testing up to Cat 8.1 & Cat 8.2 test limits.
    • Program for initiating test, acquiring data, and storing from PC/laptop/or network.
    • Program for creating custom reports from collected data.
    • Verification of testing against RFTA & BH Balun setups.
    • Verification of testing against Field Testers Fluke and WireXpert.
