Legrand has a great opportunity for a Software Engineer to work in multiple locations as part of an Engineering Rotation program. This program will be 2 years in length and the associate will work in 3 locations: Pleasant Grove (starting and interview location), Utah; Somerset, NJ; and Zwickau, Germany.

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering.



  • Experience in Linux, Angular or Microcontroller development.
  • Ability to develop software in C and C++ and/or
  • Ability to develop web GUIs using JS with QT.
  • Experience in scripting languages (Bash, Python).
  • Mastery in software engineering tools (bug tracking systems, Wikis, source code versioning systems).


  • Self – starter able to work well on own.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to research solutions.

Position Attributes

BCS Location (Pleasant Grove, Utah)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning, design and implementation of embedded software for Equinox touch-screen displays.
  • Writing of automated unit tests.
  • Participation in cross-product and cross-team software architecture development.
  • There is a broad variety of possible tasks, including
    • Linux System / embedded application programming (C, C++ with QT Framework).
    • Implementation of a QT/JavaScript based UI on multiple platforms.
    • Microcontroller programming (C, C++).
