Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Inside Sales Rep III to join the Data Communications Division in Moraine, OH. The primary purpose of this position is to sell and support the sales of connectivity products to C2G Distribution customers. Provide inbound email, chat and phone support for Sales, Purchasing, and Product Marketing personnel within these accounts. Provide inventory support by managing stock levels and SKU maintenance within the accounts. Provide Advertising and Marketing support to these accounts in the areas of Product Offerings, Promotions, Spiffs, and Catalog Ad creation.  Participate in tradeshows, training visits, and vendor fairs to deliver product information directly to customers.

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Three years successful sales, customer service and/or related industry experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of computers, networking and related connectivity products
  • Above average understanding of Channel Sales environment and Distribution/Reseller relationships
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to type a minimum 30 W.P.M.

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies to identify shortages
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
  • Use Business Intelligence software to monitor sales and document characteristics of inventory
  • Generate suggested orders for each distributor to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding products and inventories
  • Provide direction and assistance to colleagues as needed
  • Maintain distribution inventory and POS reports
  • Input distribution sales in SAP to allow invoicing for consigned inventory
  • Input distribution Purchase Orders for consigned inventory
  • Support Canadian Regional Sales Manager, Nicole Robitaille
  • Maintain and update MSRP pricing and cost with distribution partners
  • Setup parts with distribution partners, validating the distributor’s sku setup and website presence
  • Provide shipping and tracking information to distribution partners, resellers and end users
