Legrand has a great opportunity for a Sales Operation Analyst in our West Hartford, CT location. This individual will provide sales analytics to the Executive Vice President of Sales, International, Regional VPs, Sales Directors, and field sales force in the Data Communications Division.  He/she will manage both day to day sales support activities and large scale projects including annual budgeting process, sales conferences and regional meetings, sales presentations and related.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related field of study preferred.



  • 1 + years of sales, marketing and/or industry experience preferred.

  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.  Must be able to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization. Represents respective executive staff in a highly professional manner.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.  Able to provide clear and concise information and create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence. 
  • Limited travel required.

Position Attributes


Main Job Duties:

  • Working with the Sales Leadership, develops annual sales budgets for Data Communications Division sales, gathering and analyzing data, creating budget materials, spreadsheets, reports and related.  Present annual budget to management team. Monitor actual spend against budget on a monthly basis, evaluating variances and providing details on a monthly basis to RVP’s and VP of Sales.
  • Processes yearly sales quota/targets for entire DCD sales departments for new year according to the budget forecast.
  • Works cross functionally as the sales lead for large scale projects, including annual sales conferences/regional sales meetings, trade shows and related industry sponsored events in which DCD takes a leadership role. Assist in developing detailed agendas, makes arrangements for travel, lodging, meeting rooms and related. 
  • Assists with the development, production and delivery of all training and presentation materials, power point presentations, information packets, binders or other hard copy and multi-media materials.
  • Using a variety of financial and sales data from each entity within DCD, calculates monthly sales matrices for all field sales associates participating in the sales incentive plan.  Validates calculations with finance.  Calculates year end matrices for management team of DCD, consisting of RVP’s, ESP, Directors of Sales, etc. Validates with entity finance team and submits for annual payments. Completes incentive analysis on quarterly/yearly basis for all field sales associates.
  • Ensures integrity of sales data and sources to develop reports on a monthly/quarterly basis of various types for VP of Sales and Management Team. Analyzes and compiles data to complete several Point of Sale/Transfer processes on a monthly basis.
  • Manages sales related databases, updating and ensuring accuracy of data.  Extracts data and creates reports, charts, graphs and spreadsheets to support sales initiatives and goals.
  • Develop and prepare information presentations for Sales Team to have effect meetings with distributors for Enterprise and IT channels.  Domestic and International.
  • Responsible for the management of Sales “Scorecards” by sales channel.  Development of quarterly presentations utilizing approved individual plans. Compiles and creates the focused product targets/quotas for the field sales team required for the sales team goals
  • Manages commission structure and commission reports for Agency Representatives for their monthly payments.  Completes random audits to ensure accuracy of system.  Set up new agencies in system when needed.
  • Assists with yearly sales quota/target calculations for entire DCD sales departments by Regions and territories.
  • Provides support to VP of Sales and executive sales team, arranging sales meetings, making travel and related arrangements, handling communications and correspondence. 
  • Assists with resolving issues and provides data and information to field sales force as required.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
