Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Residential Sales Representative with the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in one of the following locations: Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, Las Vegas, NV  or New Mexico. The individual in this role will manage the company sales and marketing activities at the residential builder representing the EWS product lines OnQ, P&S, Adorne and Nuvo in order to advance the Brand/Customer relationship. They will also grow market share by developing relationships with key end users of our products.

Qualifications

Education:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 5 years of prior sales experience. Experience with residential sales of electrical and low voltage products to builders, installers and the distribution channel. Demonstrated track record of successful builder, installer and distributor sales

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must have a strong product knowledge and technical understanding and be able to provide hands on presentations of products to large groups.
  • Knowledge of Residential Construction and/or Light commercial applications for low voltage and electrical wiring preferred.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.  Must be able to able to craft and give presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.

  • Must demonstrate effective negotiation skills and be able to adapt to rapidly evolving business climate and environment.

  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.  Knowledge of common business and SFDC CRM tools preferred.

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Establish and grow account/end user relationships to ensure that the corporate and territory goals are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and manage territory business plans. This consists of Expenses, sample budgets, end user presence. Completion of all reports in a timely and articulate manner.
  • Work within the Residential Builder community.  Utilize the EWS relationship to help promote and secure specifications, standardizations, and adoptions.
  • Establish a presence at the local, regional HBA’s (Home Builder Associations).
  • Have a close working relationship with corporate functions. This would include providing competitive feedback to pricing departments, working with product managers, technical support and customer service.
  • Execute local training programs. Alter corporate programs to suit individual territory needs. Train and educate customers and end users on the application, features and benefits of our products.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
  • Daily usage of CRM Tool (SFDC)
    • Logging ALL face to face sales calls.
    • Open Opportunity Management.
    • Contact/Account Updates.
    • Development of delivering Territory Business Plans.
