Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant III  to join the Q Motion Team in San Jose, CA. This role will assist in the completion of month end financial reporting, assure accuracy and completeness, as well as to analyze and interpret financial statements.

Required Skills:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with balance sheets, P&L, financial analysis, Budget to actual analysis, general ledger and conducting audits


  • Have strong financial control background and demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Demonstrates good judgment, well developed business ethics, integrity and consultancy skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Expert level Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills required. 
  • Have the ability to communicate persuasively and effectively and manage multiple priorities in an intense, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load.
  • Have the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization and be able to work independently as well as within a variety of teams
  • Be able to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. 
  • The ability to audit work, identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
  • Have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business. 

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Oversees accounting procedures, internal controls and workflow.
  • Performs random audits to assure that all transactions are appropriately recorded and authorized.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries.
  • Prepares and maintains the financial statements.
  • Prepares reconciliations for general ledger accounts and intercompany activity.
  • Ensures internal control compliance.
  • Assists with internal audit reviews and compliance.
  • Assists with yearly financial audit preparation. 
  • Assists with yearly tax preparation and requests.
  • Performs other ad hoc analysis and related duties as required.
