Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quotations Specialist to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Mascoutah, IL. The individual in this role will approve quotations based on an evaluation of regional markets, product mix, and competitive information.  Develop pricing strategies along with regional sales teams to support corporate pricing objectives.  Provide analytical data to sales and marketing regarding changes in the marketplace.

Qualifications

Required Skills:   

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related course of study with 5 years' experience in Sales, quotations or financial analysis. OR
  • High School Diploma with 10 years' experience in Sales, quotations or financial analysis

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and SAP a plus.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical product knowledge.
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load.
  • Be detail oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively multi-task.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
  • Be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
  • Possess good analytical skills and have demonstrated problem solving capability.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to provide clear and concise information.
  • Be an effective listener, able to focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. 
  • Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.

 

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Evaluate pricing and approve quotes on job quotes based on margin, product mix, competition and strategic impact.
  • Review Bill of Material to ensure completed system.
  • Support Technical Services by undertaking design take-offs for cross-over of competitor jobs in order to develop a quote with Cablofil material and services
  • Conduct pricing reviews on particular category items.
  • Assist in customer pricing analysis on an individual request or project basis by supplying and/or analyzing specific pricing information.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers on specific products lines.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
