    Legrand is looking for college engineering students interested in an exciting entry level career opportunity for an Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) Associate to join the LNA Team at one of our three starting locations: West Hartford, CT; Concord, NC; and Fairfield, NJ.  We are currently hiring for the program class that begins in June 2018. 


    The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is an intensive program designed to accelerate the development of early career talent and produce employees capable of meeting the challenges facing the operations management function at Legrand. Operations Management includes overseeing, designing and controlling specific productivity and manufacturing processes.


    This three-year program allows Associates to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and training. While working in this role you’ll be mentored and trained to learn valuable skill sets, such as supervisory and project management, business /finance, decision making, lean implementation, and cooperation and teamwork, to further enhance your career development.


    As an OLDP Associate, you will complete 12 month assignments at three (3) different Legrand Operations locations in the US, Mexico or Canada. Upon completion of the three (3) year program, you will be assigned an advanced role in Operations at a Legrand location. Legrand currently has North American operations in the following cities:

    • BS degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or similar degrees are preferred.


    • Proven work ethic through internship, prior research or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing.
    • Proven experience effectively working in teams.
    • Ideally prior experience working with an organization that utilizes continuous improvement processes and measurement.
    • Demonstrated leadership aptitude.

    Position Attributes

    The Successful Candidate will:

    • Develop leadership skills in Operations through on the job experiences participating on and leading projects that drive high performance in our Operations.
    • Rotate through technical, supervisory, and project driven positions in Operations during each 12 month assignment at a location. 
    • Potential project assignments include; Lean Manufacturing/Process Controls/Formal Kaizens, Technology and Plant Floor improvements, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Operational Productivity and Financial Metrics, Engineering/New Product Development, and Employee Engagement, all with an emphasis on
    • project leadership, technical proficiency, and supervisory skills.
    • Design and implement process improvements, work as part of a team addressing process, quality, or lean issues, and lead teams to complete productivity, lean, quality, and product start-up projects.
    • Interact daily with factory workers, engineers, supervisors, planners and others, and take direction from leaders at the specific site.
    • Present results of projects and initiatives with the Legrand North America senior leadership team and have ongoing contact with the executive sponsor of the program.
