Position Description/Company Info

Role: The Marketing & Sales Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for the implementation of Middle Atlantic Canada’s marketing strategy. The Marketing & Sales Coordinator works directly with MAPC’s sales and marketing staff to provide support with any general sales-related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

  • Experience with Business Social Marketing
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Smartsheet
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
  • Detail oriented and able to accurately proofread marketing materials.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Ability to make sound, timely, and accurate judgment while supporting reasoning for
  • Excellent writing skills including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and well organized.
  • Strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Knowledge of markets served by MAPC would be an asset.

Position Attributes

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing

  • Implements strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests.
  • Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
  • Establishes and ensures consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, websites, and events.

Communication and Research

  • Responsible for maintaining all Company social media forums including Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases. Monitor market industry news and submit reports on emerging trends, competitive new products, new hires, etc . Update the team on Industry news during monthly calls
  • Prepares draft reports, background documentation, and research.

Administration

  • Update and maintain Salesforce - add new contacts, remove old contacts, update all pertinent information
  • Update and maintain Internal Contact Manager - Excel sheet.
  • Update and maintain Canada Configurator to ensure configurator users are seeing their account specific pricing and are set with the proper access levels
  • Update Customer Portal with new literature & marketing announcements.
  • Plans, promotes, and executes sales meetings.
  • Provides direct administrative and office management support to both the President and Marketing Manager.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Assists with the development and preparation of presentations.
  • Takes minutes during conference calls and meetings.
  • Develops and maintains monthly sales reports and other reports as required.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
