Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Channel Marketing Manager to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Mascoutah, IL. Primarily responsible for managing the marketing services activities of the company to service the customer, potential customer, support the sales team both inside and outside and to work with customers and representatives on contractual agreements. Communication of the company message in content (collateral materials, event planning, promotional planning, advertising, Public Relations, training materials, etc.) is a primary purpose of the position.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
  • 1+ years of market management experience to include Chanel Management, Content Management, Market Information & Client Relations.  

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Good people skills, organizational skills, computer skills, presentation skills and clerical skills.
  • Ability to ask thought provoking questions to gather information needed to complete assignments.
  • Works collaboratively with several different internal teams to understand the business strategy.
  • Must be detail oriented.  Requires strong organizational and time management skills and must be able to effectively multi-task.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
  • Be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
  • Possess good analytical skills and have demonstrated problem solving capability.

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties:

  • Channel Management
    • It is the responsibility of this position to manage all contracts for Distributors, Contractor incentives, Independent Manufacturers Representatives, buying groups, Private Label Distributors, Private Label Suppliers (rebates, incentives, general relationship agreements, sales responsibilities, commission structure, etc.) for the company.
    • The main archive of all agreements of this nature will be maintained by this manager.
    • Creation or review of new agreements will also be the responsibility of this manager working under the advice of Cablofil’s legal counsel.
  • Content Management
    • It is the responsibility of this position to work closely with Legrand MARCOM to manage the marketing content (information) for the company for both external use and internal use.  Included shall be advertising, PR, promotions, direct mail, and product announcements and roll-outs.
    • Tradeshow and event planning and materials management, product marketing samples and merchandise, and special programs shall reside with this role.
    • All web content for external promotions and internal training (intranet) will be the responsibility of this manager therefore the responsibility to see that all Web users must be trained as well.
  • Marketing Information Management
    • It is the responsibility of this manager to inform the executive staff and sales team of sales and marketing trends, established customer rebate performance, competitive news and information, market and economic trends, etc.
    • Business reporting will be accomplished by this manager for the above purpose.
    • Communication of updated product attribute information to database management organizations (e.g. IDW) shall be the responsibility of this manager.
    • All public price change announcements are the responsibility of this manager.
  • Drive Key Cablofil Marketing Initiatives
    • This manager will direct regular and ongoing communications out to the Legrand sales team regarding product, promotional, or program information. 
    • This role will address the Cablofil distributor stocking initiatives, including quarterly stock rotation analysis, product mix recommendations, and the proactive promotion of Cablofil product sales through distributor inventory.
    • The effectiveness of Cablofil promotions and programs through distribution shall be tracked by this manager.
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • It is the responsibility of this manager to create, manage and perform customer satisfaction surveys as the quality system dictates.
    • Gathering this information and measuring the level of satisfaction of our customers and reporting the findings to the executive management is a key responsibility of this manager
  • Additional Responsibilities may arise through the development of the above listed items
