Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative to join the Building Control Systems Team in Richardson, TX. The individual in this role will be responsible for internal sales and support of sales, programs and initiatives targeting specific electrical distributors. Success will be defined through proactive sales efforts designed to improve, and develop, intimate relationships and revenue growth opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:   

  • Bachelors Degree in business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing, customer support or sales.  

Additional Qualifications:


  • Experience in a technology, electrical, or agency background is a plus.  
  • Exhibit effective sales techniques, with strong interpersonal communication skills.     
  • Be interested in and capable of learning about products and associated technologies.
  • Self-starter with the ability to recognize and develop opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Strong organizational skills, persistence and enthusiasm about our business.

Position Attributes

Main Job Duties to Include:

  • Performs on a team with Inside Sales Reps targeting Electrical Distributors and Channel customers across the Country.  Facilitates consistent support of distributor(s) business with activities that include: pricing and availability, pricing maintenance, order expediting, contact management, lead distribution, program/promotion communication and general awareness of WattStopper within the Distributor.
  • Works with supervision from the Director of Distributor sales, to provide support for ED targeted campaigns and communications, and to provide competitive intelligence back to the Sales organization.
  • Utilizes CRM data management tools to track progress and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Tools include:  PCs, wireless headsets, comfortable work area,, MS Office, JDE
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.  Occasionally participates in on-site distributor meetings
