Legrand has an opportunity for a Test & Repair Technician at our Hebron, KY location supporting On-Q and Nuvo products. The Test & Repairs Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing damaged products returned from field.

  • Associates Degree or Two Year Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • 3-5 years experience in repairing electronic devices, quality assurance or related.


  • Knowledge of electrical engineering practices and principles. Experience in testing procedures & equipment such as a multi-meter, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.
  • Knowledge and skill in soldering practices including ability to identify and resolve common soldering mistakes.
  • Must have strong computer skills; proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, project tracking, and database software. Salesforce.com experience a plus.
  • Knowledge in wireless music streaming services a plus.

Position Attributes

  • Test products returned from the field and troubleshoot and repair damaged or defective products according to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of return testing results in standard company returned product database according to policies.
  • Compose Repair Letters for customers explaining what action was taken to fix a product and packaging the products for return to the customer.
  • Communicate with other departments including Customer Service & Technical Support about testing results and potential causes of failure.
  • Compose and edit Testing Procedures and Troubleshooting Guides for various products.
  • Communicate with Engineering Team about required testing and troubleshooting procedures and common problems/concerns witnessed on returned products.
  • Support Quality Team by testing/repairing defective products and parts and investigating causes of such failures.
  • Support Quality Team by learning how to run all the final test fixtures and how to solve common problems that arise with using the test fixtures.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
