Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team in West Hartford, CT. The individual in this role will support the FP&A Manager and Director of FP&A with a focus on Accounting and FP&A analysis.  Additionally, they will develop business partner relationships with functional area leaders and be involved in the creation and tracking of budgets and forecasts on the Legrand Holdings (LHI) and Legrand North & Central America (LNCA) consolidated level.  Mobility to anywhere in the US is a plus.

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject matter combined with experience.


  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.


  • Require strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.

Position Attributes

Main Activities:

  1. Generate, analyze, and post all monthly LHI journal entries with guidance from fellow Finance associates.
  2. Act as financial liaison to support the Legrand internal customer groups.
  3. Generate monthly account reconciliations with action plans to rectify reconciling items.
  4. Responsible for LHI entity billing, including but not limited to wage and PC inventory.
  5. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of LNCA activity to the US Government.
  6. Perform monthly financial variance analysis for LHI cost centers and distribute reports to cost center owners.
  7. Develop financial models using excel and the LNCA financial consolidation system to validate and error proof financial reporting.
  8. Participate in the budget and forecast process and provide finance support to functional cost center leaders; assist in the creation and completion of annual budgets.
  9. Manage fixed asset tracking and reporting of capital expenditures
  10. Perform ad-hoc project analysis to support LHI finance function.
