Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quotations Specialist (International) to join the Lastar Team in Moraine, OH. The basic function of this role is to work with sales to gather requirements for custom cables built and/or sourced from offshore vendors. Act as a liaison with offshore facilities and/or vendors to gather information used to create quotes that are returned to sales. Place PO’s, monitor PO’s and communicate with Legrand Facilities to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Education:  

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors degree in business preferred.

Experience:  

  •  3-5 years related purchasing/customer or sales support administrative experience

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  •  Must have strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.  Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.  Knowledge of ERP systems and CRM software is required.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and a strong customer orientation.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Position Attributes

 

 

Main Job Duties:

  1. Evaluate, update, and maintain custom reports concerning OEM assembly activities
  2. Offshore custom assembly requisition processing and maintenance
  3. Offshore custom Item part number setup and maintenance
  4. Purchase order processing and expediting
  5. Scheduling and reporting all inbound custom cable orders
  6. Daily communication/Liaison between Offshore facilities/vendors and internal customers
  7. Offshore order review to determine when domestic AVL Components are required
  8. Domestic AVL order entry, MRP review, sourcing and shipment preparation for export via air or ocean
  9. Work with sales to understand all aspects of an opportunity so accurate quote can be provided
  10. Collaborate with sales on requirements for quoting custom cables and help determine the correct questions to ask customers so all required information is gathered.
