    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in the Charlotte, NC area. The Director of Retail sales for Lowe’s will lead a team responsible for the full management of this extremely large account including relationship management, sales, service, forecasting, merchandising and managing omnichannel. Internally, the role works with the relevant businesses to articulate a multi-year account management plan, marketing plan and product plan. In addition, this position works with the Retail leadership in strategic planning, business reviews and budgeting.

    Basic Qualifications:  

    • Bachelor’s Degree 
    • 7+ years Retail Sales experience managing a major Home Center account of over $50M working with MVP’s, IMP’s, DMM’s, RMM’s, Merchants, VM’s and other Home Center associates. 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA
    • Electrical Experience
    • Proficient in MS Office 2007, Lotus Notes and/or Outlook
    • Strategic planning
    • Budgeting and forecasting knowledge
    • Proven major account management experience
    • Strong presentations skills
    • Demonstrated successful headcount responsibility

    Position Attributes

    Main  Activities:

    • Be responsible for managing all aspects of the Lowe’s account and effectively leveraging the team to manage all aspects of this major account
    • Responsible for managing the entire Legrand portfolio of products.
    • Responsible for driving sales by creating, executing and communicating strategic business plans to grow top line sales and bottom line margin. Track performance on a weekly/monthly basis through metrics and make adjustments when appropriate.
    • Act as the primary contact for all sales & marketing.
    • Develop sales forecasts and assist with department budget creation.
    • Manage budget to forecast and/or business conditions.
    • Work with marketing teams to drive sales through quarter pallet promotions, off shelf displays and testing of new and existing products.
    • Work with the Legrand retail team to launch and drive incremental sales on line.
    • Research and acquire new product placement opportunities within the account.
    • Lead sales and marketing to develop strategic plans to grow the Legrand brand presence in line and off shelf.
    • Effectively using POG’s, AMT’s and other tools to drives sales while increasing turns and GMROI .
    • Develops, maintains, negotiates and implements price increases, including the complex “cost justification” process.
    • Ability to build trust and lasting relationships quickly, through hard work and competency.
    • Proven track record to take complex issues/problems and develop solutions for both parties.
    • Strong personal presentation skills, both in small groups and one-on-one situations.
    • Work with back office support teams to manage pricing, credit, data feeds, customer support and technical support as required

    • External - Retail MVP, Merchants and other associates
    • Internal – General Managers of the Legrand businesses, Retail Sales teams, Marketing, product management, executive management
