    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a summer Manufacturing Engineer Intern opening from June to August 2018 in our St. Louis, MO facility. The goal of this endeavor is to mentor and foster the growth of this individual that upon graduation may lead to a successful career. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work with the Operations Team on the design, development and improvement of new and existing processes for the facility.  Work schedule can be flexible to accommodate a school schedule.

    • Pursuing Engineering degree in Systems, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering


    • Good communication skills
    • MS Office
    • MS Access
    • ACAD (or similar)
    • CAD experience preferred

    Position Attributes

    Main Job Duties:

    • Optimizing manufacturing methods & processes by employing lean techniques and analyzing layouts, workflow, and assembly methods in an industrial plant
    • Conduct methods studies, data gathering and data analysis to improve processes
    • Participate in Kaizen events
    • Projects may also include work on improving quality of parts or deal with Sustainability improvements (energy, water, waste reduction)
    • Performs other similar duties as required
