    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Analyst to join the Data Communications Team in West Hartford, CT. The individual in this role will be working closely with DCD President, VP Marketing & Strategy, manage Division reporting and analysis of relevant market categories, trends and competitive share estimates.  Prepare Business Review and Budget Presentations for DCD, manage relationships with 451 and other industry research firms, and act as primary point of contact for LNCA and Group as it relates to market and data analysis requests.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or similar field of study


    • 1-3 years of experience
    • Strong analytical skills, quantitative and qualitative
    • MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and in group situations as well as independently
    • Self-starter and demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness


    • Requires strong organization and time management skills, close attention to detail and must be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
    • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and data base software.  Proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communication software.

    • Must have strong analytical skills and proven ability to effectively conduct in-depth research, identify trends and summarize information on a variety of subjects.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.  Must be an effective listener, be able to maintain focus, extract necessary information, and validate understanding of the information.  Must be able to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.

    Position Attributes


    Main Job Duties:

    1. Manage data analysis / collection and prepare DCD presentations for annual business review and budget review process under supervision of DCD Marketing VP. Owns preparation of presentations with input from DCD Executives.
    2. Prepare and distribute weekly industry news updates, quarterly competition updates.
    3. Manage relationships with 451 and other industry research firms. Negotiate contract and ensure that we get full value from subscribed services.
    4. Support Strategy and Product Management with business plans/growth initiatives by completing special projects, conducting research, and data analysis.
    5. Maintain library of market data and competitive research to disseminate to company associates on an appropriate basis.
    6. Work with finance to ensure consistent reporting of key figures across the Division.
    7. Manage engagement for DCD marketing-related consulting projects.
    8. Performs other similar and related duties as required.
