    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Channel Marketing - Retail to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Charlotte, NC. The individual in this role will develop and implement marketing strategies with the Legrand divisions and implement these strategies with the Retail sales teams, including Lowe's, Home Depot and Amazon. This person will drive the strategic direction, together with the respective business teams of those businesses, in developing their consumer portfolios. This includes developing a multi-generational product plan, marketing plan and omni-channel plan. From an operational perspective, will oversee the Retail portfolio in the business SG&A meetings primarily focused on forecasting and communicating key customer commitments.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BA Marketing
    • 6+ years of marketing experience developing and implementing marketing strategies to include a multi-generational product plan, marketing plan and omni-channel plan as well as management of marketing functions to include lead generation, advertising, PR, forecasting, channel management, pricing management, web site and other e-commerce activities, all customer related literature and materials.

    • Have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.

    • Able to manage effectively in a matrix organization, influence and negotiate across boundaries.
    • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills required. 
    • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.

    Position Attributes

    Main Activities:

    Organization: Team Leader competency model
    Main Interface: Internal – Engineering, sales, customer support and marketing communications teams for Legrand divisions
    Budget: Develops overall budget for marketing department(s), actively participates in overall company budget development.  Manages to budget during fiscal year.


    Main Job Duties:

    • Manage the overall Marketing function, including but not limited to; all activities related to: lead generation, advertising, PR, forecasting, channel management, pricing management, web site and other e-commerce activities, all customer related literature and materials.
    • Work closely with the Sales team to maintain effective coordination of efforts between the specific sales function and the respective business units.
    • Participate on the business unit’s GM staff representing Retail opportunities, product plans and other business needs
    • Participate in the business unit’s SG&A process communicating and coordinating the Retail needs
    • Coordinate Multi-generational product plans with the business ensuring a constant flow of consumer products to maintain a robust, vital flow of new product to support the current programs.
    • Work with Sales teams to develop marketing and merchandising plans.
    • Work with business planners to forecast normal flow, resets and conversions
    • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
