    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Test and Repair Technician to join the Pass & Seymour Team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The individual in this role will complete testing of electrical control products to ensure that products are within quality specifications. Instrumental in meeting quality goals of the sustaining engineering team.

    Basic Qualifications:   

    • High School Diploma or equivalent 
    • 1+ years of manual or automated software testing experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent knowledge of electronic circuit design and troubleshooting PCB’s of discrete, ASIC, embedded microprocessor designs, test / measurement platforms and associated tools.  Experienced in working with power of up to 600V.
    • Experience with electronic troubleshooting, test and data acquisition equipment, reporting and resolving product and field observations and diagnosis to cross functional groups. 
    • Possess strong analytical skills to assure compliance with test requirements and results for third party certification.
    • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.  Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
    • Have the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.
    • Be able to work independently as well as within a variety of teams.
    • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
    • Good verbal and written communications skills, and be able to create effective reports and business correspondence.

    Main Job Duties:

    1. Work with Developers, Technical Support, and Operations to gather test requirements and product knowledge
    2. Develop and document test requirements.
    3. Manually test by using applicable test techniques and exploratory testing methods while producing adequate test logs to document the test results.
    4. Identifying new technology, techniques and tools to incorporate into the test process, if possible
    5. Manage, maintain, create and execute the manual regression test suite for individual and multiple projects.
    6. Provide final qualification of software, hardware, and documentation by accurately following test procedures and using automated test equipment.
    7. Provide verbal and written descriptions of all problems found.
    8. Provide feedback for improving the test process or procedures
    9. Use automated test equipment and provide verbal and written descriptions of all problems found in addition to providing feedback for improving the test process or procedures
    10. Interface directly with Engineers to perform tests that will provide results and present those findings to the Engineering Staff in a professional format
    11. Provide support for the Engineering Department when required or perform other duties
