  • Position Description

    Main Activities:

    • Organization:  Manufacturing/Operations
    • Main Interface: Internal: Manufacturing Manager, Pullers Lead, Material Handlers

    Main Job Duties:

    1. Material Handlers load and unload materials within a warehouse utilizing hand truck, stand-ups, or single man lift.
    2. Maintain inventory levels at primary locations, consolidate or refill work cell “supermarkets”
    3. Prepare parts from inventory to travel to assembly, or secondary process by packaging padding, or strapping to prevent shifting/damage during transport.
    4. Assist with cycle count program when needed. Participate in annual full inventory count.
    5. Assist Material Handler II/III in work assignments
    6. Perform tasks using hand tools, sanding tools, soldering iron, and PEMSERTER press
    7. Perform applicable quality checks and document results
    8. Demonstrates leadership in safety related issues. Responsible for thorough knowledge of appropriate safety practices; must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices.
    9. Perform basic maintenance activities
    10. Make sure all materials are labeled correctly.
    11. Make sure Production area is clean and organized, free from food, waste, trash and any hazard that may cause injury or inhibit a safe working environment.
    12. Perform housekeeping activities
    13. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors or management.
    14. Must be able to work flexible work schedule.

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus 

    Qualifications

    Education:   

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    Experience:  

    • Two years warehouse general experience is preferred.  1 year of stand-up forklift experience preferred. 1-year Machine Operator experience preferred.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    • Basic math skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Able to perform repetitive job functions, hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
    • Able to lift 75 lbs.
    • Able to stand for an 8hr shift
