    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the OCL Team in St. Louis, Missouri. The primary function of this position is to train, coach and supervise the production employees in the assembly of decorative and custom lighting fixtures to the highest standard possible with great workmanship and care. As well as participating and leading continuous improvement efforts throughout the factory.

    • High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.

    Main Job Duties:

    1. Perform detailed or higher caliber assembly associated with producing custom lighting
    2. Supervise the assembly of lighting on the Production floor.
    3. Organize the orders by priority for the day.
    4. Conduct visual inspections of product assembly for accuracy and quality.
    5. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
    6. Ensure materials are available at the beginning of the build.
    7. Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe and clean work areas.
    8. Follow other job related instructions and perform other tasks as requested.
    9. Distribute piece parts to assemblers as needed.
    10. Move assemblers to new positions as needed to efficiently process the day’s orders.
    11. Assist in the training of new employees.
    12. Communicates written and verbal communications to employees.
    13. Alert maintenance to any potential problems with production machinery.
    14. Work on special/large projects to ensure accuracy.
    15. Work with new testing equipment or work cells to ensure proper usage.
    16. Conduct regular employee performance appraisals.
    17. Develop and maintain visual management of processes and production area
    18. Maintain relevant production metrics
    19. Other tasks as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
