    At a Glance:

    Legrand has a great opportunity for a Systems Test Engineer to work in multiple locations as part of an Engineering Rotation program. This program will be 2 years in length and the associate will work in 3 locations: Somerset, NJ (starting and interview location), Pleasant Grove, Utah; and Zwickau, Germany.

    Main Responsibilities: 

    • System Test of Raritan’s KVM products.
    • Translate end user requirements into value added test cases.
    • Creation & execution of acceptance and system test cases.
    • Creation and verification of detailed Change Requests.
    • Reporting and tracking of test results.
    • Lab planning and setup.
    • Reproducing customer issues in our labs.
    • Interfacing with Technical Support, Development, and Product Management.
    • Design and implement software automation techniques to improve test execution, reliability of test results, and improve overall time to market.
    • Create and execute load and stress tests, and perform automated testing for web and / or client server applications.



    • BS in Computer Science or Engineering.


    • Working knowledge of Linux including command-line tools, network configuration, software installation, and performance profiling. 
    • Experience developing system-level test plans and procedures for requirement based testing activities.
    • Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g. bugzilla, Eventum).
    • Experience with LAN/WAN networking technologies/protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, SNMP).
    • Understanding of System Test best practices as well as the dynamics of the entire project lifecycle.
    • Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills.
    • Accountability and the ability to multi-task/manage changing priorities.
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
    • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
    • Must be able to operate in a team environment.
