    At A Glace:

     

    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an A&D Specification Sales Representative to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston Texas.  In this role the territory sales rep drives sales activities of territory while working concurrently with manufacturing representatives in the Architectural and Specification market, Kitchen and Bath market and the Lighting showroom channel. 

     

    What Will You Do?

    • Prospect, contact, and develop new interior designers for the purpose of specifying Legrand products which will be sold through Lighting Showrooms, Kitchen and Bath showrooms (primary) or Wholesale Electrical Distributors (secondary).
    • Create and implement training presentations specific to interior designers, Kitchen and bath designers and showroom personal, architects, and other residential specifiers.
    • Work with Manufacturer Representative agencies to develop Kitchen and Bath Showroom channel
    • Conduct events at Legrand lighting showroom partner locations.
    • Assist in project takeoffs and make proposals based on above specifications.
    • Establish strong relationship with Legrand/Pass & Seymour ALA manufacturers’ representatives, and NKBA manufacturers’ representatives
    • Experience providing presentations to lighting showrooms and or kitchen bath showroom in addition to architects and interior designers is a plus.

     

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualificatios:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
    • 2+ yrs of sales experience working with 3rd party manufacturing representatives

    Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    • Specification sales experience with interior designers/architects a plus
    • Ability to present to individuals as a consultant in addition to presenting to large crowds in excess of 50 people.
    • Ability to trouble-shoot technical problems in the field and seeing problems through to a solution to the customer’s satisfaction.
    • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints, electrical takeoffs, and specification documents.
    • Ability to create and present using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
    • Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills
