  • Position Description

    Major Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work with others to gather requirements and interpret these requirements into technical specifications/database design
    • Set-up, configuration, and support of database in manufacturing environment

    Projects may include but are not limited to: 

    • Creating a Legrand AIM Suggestion Database
    • Automating the safety/environmental training databaseAutomating the Tier 1 and 2 Gemba action item lists
      Creating a database for safety inspection tracking
    • Establishing a system to manage, monitor, and track behavior based safety audits.
    • Enhance the Lean Kaizen database for Continuous Improvements
    • Provide data analysis utilizing Excel and PowerPoint

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College; classified as Junior or above.
    • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related field.


    • Proven experience utilizing advanced features within MS Access
    • Must have a strong foundation of both hardware and software applications.
    • Basic fundamental of simple coding logic
    • Web-based programming
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
    • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Capable of working in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to work well with others in team environment
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Must have excellent internal and external communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
    • Ability to work independently

    Preferred Skill/Experience:

    • Previous job experience in computer-related field.
    • Exposure to Lean and Continuous Improvement Methodology
    • Understanding of Project Management functions.
