    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Data Communications Division working remotely in the Dallas, TX area.  This position will cover a south central territory.  As a Territory Sales Manager you will prospect and qualify leads to fill the pipeline with viable leads. You will be expected to move opportunities through the pipeline in accordance with our existing sales process and methodology.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


    • 3-5 years of sales experience in mission critical data center industry

    • Customer Service experience

    • Manufacturing experience a plus


    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere

    • Ability to manage the formulation and implementation of sales plans

    • Strong organizational skills, process-oriented, and strong prospecting skills

    • Salesforce experience required

    Position Attributes

    Main Job Duties:

    • Identify viable leads, manage prospects and acquire new customer accounts to meet and exceed monthly established targeted revenue goals
    • Build relationships of trust, reliance and expertise with clients to expand business
    • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective new clients; follow up with key customer decision-makers; close sales
    • Complete scheduled prospecting activities to establish initial and follow up appointments with customer decision-makers
    • This position requires interaction with other internal departments such as Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Service.
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Company’s products and services, lines of business and pricing structures
    • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
    • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
    • Complete required CRM entries, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy
    • Track and report weekly on all sales activity within region using CRM and other reporting tools
    • Consistent six-figure earnings, demonstrating an upwards trajectory of performance against individual direct sales quotas of approx. $3M
    • Meet and exceed sales volume and gross margin quota expectations
    • Build relationships and increase Company visibility through participation in Company-sponsored activities as required; attend trade shows, chamber of commerce events and other networking events, as necessary. Act as a company representative at community events, where required
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
    • Prepare sales quotes and proposals and submit orders for processing
    • Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications
