    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Sustainability Intern to join the Building Control Systems Team in Carlsbad, CA. The Environmental Sustainability Intern is responsible for implementing the environmental and sustainability strategy, goals and project milestones within the Building Controls System (BCS) division in Legrand. He/she will ensure BCS adheres to the environmental and sustainability policy by supporting a broad range of environmental sustainability projects.

    • Student progressing towards a Sustainability, Environmental Science, Material Science, Engineering, or related degree.
    • Strong writing and communication skills.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Dependable and self motivated.
    • Knowledge of RoHS is a plus.
    • Knowledge of PEPs is a plus.

    Position Attributes

    • Gather and review material test reports, material declarations and specifications from suppliers and/or contract manufacturers.
    • Review bill of materials (BOM) to ensure material is in compliance with the company’s environmental and sustainability policies/goals.
    • Create financial reports related to revenue generating environmental conforming material.
    • Act as liaison to third party environmental test laboratories.
    • Mine data and help track environmental KPIs particularly related to RoHS and PEPs.
