    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Specialist to join our EWS Pass & Seymour team in Syracuse, NY. The Pricing Specialist is a skilled service professional who provides pricing support to the Field Sales team and our agents.  Key responsibilities include managing customer stock pricing, responding to requests for special pricing via SPAs and job quotes, communicating pricing information to the field, and pricing analysis.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BS in business, marketing, finance, economics or statistics with 3+ years' experience in pricing, customer service, finance, or marketing roles. 

    OR

    • Associates degree in business, marketing, finance, economics or statistics with 6+ years' experience in pricing, customer service, finance, or marketing roles

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Intermediate/Advance Excel and Access skills
    • Demonstrated analytical experience is preferred.
    • Knowledge of Exports and compliance requirements
    • Process improvements and Kaizen knowledge
    • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills
    • Ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. 
    • Strong computer skills are required, including knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.  
    • Knowledge of order entry/claiming systems preferred.

    Position Attributes

    • Manage requests for stock pricing, SPA’s and job quotes in a fast paced environment.
    • Maintain system pricing accurately within the AS/400 system
    • Compliance with all audit approval requirements
    • Work closely with the field sales organization to provide them feedback for sales representation on stock deals, SPAs, and quotes in their regions or nationally as necessary.
    • Analyze price patterns by territory, customer, product family to provide decision making information to the Regional Managers, Pricing Manager and Product Line Managers proactively and as required.
    • Assist in the implementation of any published price increases.
    • Support distributor conversions and new product introductions
    • Administration of Item Master Maintenance for Pricing data, Guideline Maintenance/Reporting, Cross Reference Tools, Webshop Data, Minimum Advertised Pricing policies as needed.
    • Pricing analysis and reporting on trends at a national, regional and territory level.
    • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
