  • Position Description

    The Inside Sales Lead (ISL) reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager and is responsible for directly managing account relationships and achieving sales quota with these accounts by providing a high level of customer satisfaction with key influencers and decision makers. ISLs partner with field sales to help drive sales initiatives, business development activities, and being first point of escalation for the given territory. ISLs need to be team oriented and able to work cross-functionally to maximize account revenues with shared national accounts. The Inside Sales Lead will also be expected to take advantage of training and growth opportunities offered through Legrand to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Legrand AV Division products and services, current trends within the commercial audiovisual industry, and job specific skill development. Position may require up to 15% travel.

     

    Primary Responsibilities Sales Quotas/Volumes and Profit Margins

     

    • The Insides Sales Leader’s primary responsibility is to achieve established sales quotas for direct account responsibilities with the proper product mix (volume) and within acceptable (heathy) profit margin.
    • Manage and grow assigned accounts within ISL territory to meet or exceed sales quotas.
    • Working with the Sales Analyst and Management, assist in establishing sales quotas for all markets.
    • Periodically review performance to quota and provide updates to stay on budget. 
    • Jointly responsible for achieving profit margins and sales volumes regional team.
    • Partner with field sales to identify and track all opportunities within a given territory to help meet or exceed sales quotas using Salesforce.com

    Supporting Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Utilize Action Selling or similar complex sales methodology during inbound/outbound interactions to build rapport, understand the buying process, and gain customer commitments to move the sales process forward.
    • Participate in all regional strategic meetings to discuss Key Accounts, KPI’s, and other initiatives.
    • Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing Program Planner to help drive business plan execution.
    • Understand Legrand AV capabilities to effectively sell/support/promote all Legrand AV solutions to all customers on all projects.
    • Professional Development – utilize available Legrand AV resources and training to develop technical knowledge, sales skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Time Management - balance time, priorities and activity level across multiple opportunities to meet/exceed sales objectives.
    • Perform other duties as required by the Inside Sales Manager.

    Communicating Field Observations

    • Identify and communicate competitor activities and other industry activities that affect Legrand AV to Product Management.
    • Feedback all information pertaining to Legrand AV operations as they affect the short and or long term sales and customer satisfaction for the company to the Inside Sales Manager.
    • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of Legrand AV Division distribution policies to the Inside Sales Manager.
    • Identify and communicate product and or product line strengths, challenges and competitive information to Product Management.

     Perform other duties as required by the Inside Sales Manager to ensure the realization of departmental and corporate goals.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business or Technical related field preferred or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of successful sales, customer service and or industry related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years in an Inside Sales Representative role at Middle Atlantic is preferred
    • Solid working knowledge of Professional Audio Visual, Sound and Security systems and components.
    • Excellent understanding of the Commercial AV Industry and our Integration Partners
    • Proficient in the use of Salesforce.com
