    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a SW Engineering Program Manager – Agile 

    to join the Legrand Software Center of Excellence in Pleasant Grove, UT.

    Individual will manage, measure, coordinate, and facilitate multiple software projects so that products/systems are delivered with high velocity and high quality within accurate timeframes of delivery. Utilize a breadth of lean engineering and agile methodology in successful practice. These software systems and products support and control a variety of edge devices and cloud infrastructure; thus, the successful candidate will also be adept at Hardware and Firmware project management practice and methodology. He/she will also manage project coordination, oversight, and delivery.


    What Will You Do?


    Main Job Duties:

    • Executes and delivers projects/programs on-scope, on-time, on-budget, with quality and customer satisfaction—promoting and executing through the use of project management methodology and tools and a continuous integration mindset.
    • Manages project/program planning and execution, stage-gate approvals, and deployment planning meetings. Utilizes a degree of waterfall management at key stages of the project, as well as utilizes agile/sprint process within the day-to-day rhythm of the development process. Identifies and manages the delivery of all project deliverables with team members.
    • Manages changes to the project (e.g. Scope, Schedule).
    • Organizes the project team to carry out the project plan with assistance from function managers.
    • With the software director develops and regularly reconciles budget for the project, tracks project expenditures including coordination of purchase orders, and tracks man hours and other resources spent on the project.
    • Facilitates the prioritization and resolution of issues
    • Facilitates and assists in the identification and mitigation of risks
    • Holds project status update meetings, communicates status regularly and is the point of contact to inside teams
    • Serves as primary interface to external business units.
    • Participates in business development and quality assurance as directed by the VP of the Software Center of Excellence.
    • Support the product development process
      • Facilitate and support the project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprints, and release planning, and demos
    • Scrum activities
      • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
      • Maintain process documentation
      • Serve as Agile Coach for sprint reviews, daily stand-ups, and other related meetings.
    • Support the Product Owner
    • Assist with internal/external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
    • Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs
    • Performs other similar and related duties as required.


    Required Skills

    • Bachelors degree required,  
    • 5 years’ experience in an Agile project management/lead engineer role leading multiple concurrent projects and teams,

      OR 10 years’ experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment and other Agile SW methodologies.


    Preferred Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree engineering major preferred
    • Experience with Lean Engineering
    • Experience with EVT, DVT, and PVT phases (Or equivalent tollgate development processes) for hardware, software, and firmware development, as well as Alpha, Beta phases for SW.
    • Experience with Agile tools including familiarity VSTS, JIRA or similar
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
    • Possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines, and control many projects at various stages of work.
    • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.
    • Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
    • Be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
    • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
    • Can apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
    • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills and can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
    • Able to create effective reports, presentations and business.
