Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Network Test Engineer to join the Luxul Team in Draper, UT. As a Network Test Engineer you will have responsibility for setting up and maintaining test networks of Luxul equipment, Partner Equipment and equipment and devices commonly used in the CEDIA market place. These networks will be used to test new firmware versions and products for compatibility and functionality. Evaluate and verify new and competitor products for performance and operational requirements. Work with the Technical Support and Sales teams as needed to resolve customer’s real-world issues..
What Will You Do?
Knowledge of HDMI over IP setup and operationIn-depth knowledge of 802.3 and 802.11 network installation and setupAbility to think through problems, debug and determine solutionsUnderstand design of experimentsMust have broad understanding of Ethernet networking in general and specific knowledge of Routers, Switches, and Access Points and the services and features typically associated with these devices. Must demonstrate creativity in the debugging of simple to complex network configurations. Able to understand products and services that operate over an Ethernet network
Able to work alone and as part of team
Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.
Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively. Must be proficient with engineering design and engineering project management software.
Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
