Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director Engineering, Advanced Technology to join the Legrand Team in Syracuse, NY. The Director of Engineering, Advanced Technology will support IoT technical strategy within the residential, commercial and industrial business segments in the Electrical Wiring Systems business. This position will be responsible for setting the technical strategy which will enable the digital transformation of our legacy products. The position will provide insights and direction into emerging technologies to stay on the cutting edge in the design and development of sensors, hardware electronics, embedded firmware and enterprise software that will connect our devices to the internet. Will have responsibility for driving state of the art practices to speed innovations and bring IoT solutions to market.
What Will You Do?
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Demonstrated experience in leading new technology efforts from inception to transition to a customer organization, driving program deliverables, identifying and resolving technical program decisions/issues.
Ability to create strong partnerships with all functions within a large organization as well as externally.
Experience in electronics design, embedded firmware development and cloud and mobile app software development.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to engage, collaborate with, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers for exceptional results.
