    At a Glance


    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Pass & Seymour Team in Syracuse, NY. In the role you will perform various financial analyses for the Pass & Seymour division of Legrand North America; including performance of certain monthly close procedures. Manage business partner relationships with functional area leaders and be involved in the creation and tracking of budgets and forecasts and perform ad-hoc analyses as required.


    What Will You Do?

    • Organization:  Individual Contributor competency model.
    • Main Interface: The Director of Finance of Pass & Seymour, the Controller of Pass & Seymour, Financial leaders at Legrand North America headquarters and functional leaders across Pass & Seymour and Legrand.
    • Budget: Provides assistance in the development of business budget and any subsequent forecasts.

    Main Job Duties:


    • Perform daily and monthly financial analyses on the Pass & Seymour business including sales and income reporting.
    • Perform certain monthly close processes including uploading monthly reports into corporate consolidation software.
    • Perform monthly financial variance analyses.
    • Supports leaders of Finance, Accounting and Functional leads on departmental spending.
    • Develop financial models using excel and BPC financial reporting system to report and communicate trends on financial performance.
    • Develop new product payback financial models by partnering with key marketing and R&D leaders.
    • Participate in the budget and forecast process and provide finance support to functional cost center leaders; oversee and manage the creation and completion of annual budgets.
    • Perform ad-hoc project analyses to support the Pass & Seymour finance function. 


    Basic Qualifications



    • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject matter combined with experience.


    • 3-6 years of relevant experience.


    Preferred Skills

    • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
    • Require strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
    • Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
    • Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
    • Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
    • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of excel and access, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software. Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (Infinium, ASI, SAP BPC)
    • Able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation. Able to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
    • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
