    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Channel Marketing to join the Legrand/EWS Division Team in West Hartford, CT. In this role, the candidate will

    work closely with sales and marketing leadership to focus on the field execution of marketing initiatives in order to build strong brands and sales programs in the electrical channel. Collaborate with marketing personnel to create clearly defined, integrated programs that focus on marketing execution in the channel, including product launches, sales training content, promotions planning/execution, selling collateral, merchandising and branch marketing support.


    What Will You Do?



    Works with field sales and leadership to identify opportunities and programs to improve awareness and demand for Legrand products.  Collaborates with marketing to provide input into product launch, promotions, collateral, merchandising and branch marketing. Responsible for oversight and executing improvements to EWS distributor incentive and cooperative marketing programs.


    1. EWS Channel Marketing: Maintain, manage and evolve each of our Incentive programs as needed across EWS. This role will work closely with Marketing leadership on promotion planning. They will collaborate with SAM team on account needs to best utilize the MDF to mutual benefit. This role will actively work with Sales leadership on our ongoing efforts to improve Sales Effectiveness. Lastly Keep the EWS front line continuously informed and engaged in marketing initiatives, product launches, promotions and new ways to grow sales.  Maintain and enhance EWS branch awareness solutions such as merchandising and promotional material.
    2. Digital transformation: Drive awareness and B2B engagement thru digital op’s team to engage channel and support the effortless experience initiative.  Drive the cultural shift in the EWS sales organization as well as the customer base that support evolution of the EWS digital strategic initiatives. 
    3. Sales Meeting Leadership: Work with Sales & Marketing leadership to direct annual/bi-annual sales conferences to insure sales force execution against Company priorities and to support growth objectives.\
    4. EWS Design Build Marketing: Responsible for managing the marketing specification function and collaborating with marketing communications to support demand creation.
    5. Results Measurement/Continuous Improvement: Conduct field and marketing research to capitalize on channel marketing trends, assess marketing effectiveness with sales and distributor constituents. Benchmark our efforts against competition and spearhead continuous improvement activities.  Manage the DAC and DMAC councils.
    6. Budget: Responsible for developing, proposing and managing approved budgets that are grounded in channel marketing, sales support and training plans.
      Performs other similar and marketing-related duties as required.




    Required Skills



    • Master of Science (M.S.) or Business Administration (M.B.A) in marketing or communications.


    • 15+ years experience in marketing or senior-level marketing communications positions with the ability to demonstrate progressive marketing roles and results. Direct selling experience is a plus.


    • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
    • Demonstrated customer service orientation.  Ability to understand customer’s needs and identify new ways to serve/satisfy customer.
    • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
    • Must have strong analytical skills and proven ability to effectively research and summarize information on a variety of subjects.  Demonstrated  problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. 
    • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.  Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills.
