     At a Glance

    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Entry Level Assembler-2nd Shift to join the Pass & Seymour Concrd Team in Concord, NC.  The candidate in this role will assemble or package various materials/components by hand or with support of minor machinery and hand tools.


    What Will You Do?



    • Start and stop machine, packaging/assembly quality products.
    • Working Procedure:
      • Have knowledge of safety devices and operating procedures.
      • Obtain proper product materials per Bill of Materials.
      • Ensure that equipment will be operated in a safe manner.
      • Check parts to ensure consistent quality and low scrap.
      • Attain production rate for assigned work center.Document methodology and reason on plan to actual form when production target is not achieved.
      • Keep records on quality audits, production, scrap, and downtime.
    • May be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, minor setup and changeover of workstation.
    • Maintain good housekeeping, keeping machinery and work area clean and safe.
    • Assist other team members with work, rework and final production.
    • Follow step by step standard work procedue to ensure final part/product meets all quality standards.
    • Must be willing and able to operate on multiple work areas per production schedule.
    • All other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.


    Required Skills



    • High school degree or GED preferred


    • Minimum three months manufacturing experience


    • Basic reading and writing skills in English
    • Math skills
    • Work Keys Scores of Math 3, Locating Information 3, Reading for Information 3
    • Basic computer skills preferred
    • Good communications and interpersonal skills
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Able to stand the majority of the work day.
    • Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
    • Manual dexterity required for assembly and operating tools and machines.
    • Ability and applied knowledge of the production worker job description.

    Personal Protective Equipment Required to be worn:

    • Hearing Protection
    • Eye Protection
