     At a Glance

     

    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Search Engine Optimization Strategist to join the Digital Marketing Operations (DigOps) Team in West Hartford, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise search strategy across the various Legrand web properties, as well as supporting the day-to-day SEO content optimization for our DigOps team. The ideal candidate will need to keep up with the current evolution of online search marketing technology and have strong analytical skills. This role will function in a complex, matrixed organization and will work with multiple business units.

     

    What Will You Do?

     

    MAIN JOB DUTIES:

    • Develop and implement an enterprise search strategy across multiple businesses and websites
    • Interface with Marketing Communications leaders across the organization to optimize content creation programs with an emphasis on search engine optimization.
    • Develop the SEO strategy for new product launches, website updates and rich content across multiple web platforms.
    • Provide technical and strategic SEO analysis and recommendations, both on page and off, and implement those recommendations or manage the teams who can implement them
    • Develop a collaborative content marketing strategy that can help our businesses create high-quality, keyword rich content around our marketing initiatives.
    • Work closely with the DigOps team to develop and implement best practices for new page creation and ongoing SEO techniques
    • Develop and manage search engine programs for Legrand such as Google Search Console, Moz, and XML Sitemaps
    • Perform trend and industry keyword research as it aligns with each business’ respective goals, and track progress towards goals
    • Create and manage backlinks and link-building campaigns
    • Define performance metrics and KPIs to measure success
    • Lead SEO audits and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Measure results and propose solutions to meet business and marketing goals.
    • Represent the LNA digital team as a primary point of contact for all things related to search.
    • Stay abreast of search trends and bring articles, news, best practices, etc. to marketing communications leaders on a regular basis.
    • Perform other similar and related duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

     

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Technology preferred

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2-4 years in an in-house or agency SEO role

     

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and website conversion metrics (CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL), preferably Google Analytics certified
    • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices, trends, search engine algorithms, ranking strategies, and the tools used to research these areas, provide reporting, and evaluate competitors
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Strong analytical skills to effectively evaluate and communicate metrics and impact of digital initiatives
    • Experience using tools such as Moz, SEM Rush, SpyFu, etc.
    • Strong organizational, documentation and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
    • Ability to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently as part of a service-oriented role
    • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment
    • Ability to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization; Represents respective executive staff in a highly professional manner
    • Self-starting, with the ability to thrive within a dynamic environment
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
