    At a Glance


    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Specialist I to join the Datacenter Power and Control Team in Reno, NV. The Accounting Specialist will perform entry-level responsibilities to support the AR and AP functions and the finance department in general. This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.


     What will you do?

    • Prepare customer billing information.
    • Assist with accounts receivable processing and collections.
    • Assist with running customer credit and proposing customer credit limits.
    • Assist with accounts payable data entry and payment processing.
    • Communicate with third parties regarding credit applications/customer payments.
    • General finance department filing.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Required Skills


    • High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, preferred; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    • Minimum of 6 months administrative experience; previous accounting experience preferred.



    • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills.
    • Computer proficient with working knowledge of MRP/ ERP software and Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint), experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
