    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineering Intern - DLM to join the Wattstopper Team in Carlsbad, CA. The candidate will be working individually or as part of a design team, develops, evaluates and validates product design, specification and design reviews, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This role will support firmware development for Digital Lighting Management products.


    Digital Lighting Management (DLM) Firmware: This individual would contribute new features and enhancements to the Wattstopper Wireless DLM line of products. Wattstopper wireless DLM is an intelligent system with connected devices that creates a data-rich environment capable of adapting to building and occupant requirements. The seamless, code-compliant solution can scale from a single office to a networked campus.


    What Will You Do?



    1. Troubleshooting and firmware feature and bug definition for our Wireless DLM products
    2. Firmware development of bug fixes for our Wireless DLM products
    3. Firmware development of new features for our Wireless DLM products
    4. Performs other similar and related duties as required.


    Required Skills



    • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    • C Programming Language
    • Some knowledge of code repositories such as Git or Mercurial
    • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
    • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment. Fosters open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.
    • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of tasks at various stages of work.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
