Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Finelite Team in Union City, CA.

The candiate will have direct involvement and responsibilities in the process of budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial close.  Completes compilation of financial data and provides assistance to all levels of management in understanding and interpreting financial results, budgets and related financial information and processes. 

 

What Will You Do?

 

MAIN JOB DUTIES:

  • Collects and analyzes data for monthly financial forecast, coordinating inputs and preparing forecast for review. 
  • Works with members of the finance team to complete month-end close in a timely fashion.  Collects data and prepares various month-end financial reports in excel. 
  • Analyzes financial data, identifies trends and anomalies, determines drivers and prepares summary of findings for review.
  • Participates in all facets of the the budgeting process, working with finance staff to complete detailed budget in accordance with LNA time frame. 
  • Prepares, reviews and enters monthly BPC financial reporting
  • Develop financial models using excel and BPC financial reporting system to report and communicate trends on financial performance.
  • Insure that defined areas of responsibility are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including assigned areas outside of Finance.
  • Review and analyze various business functions and help develop process improvement plans to increase efficiency and improve financial results.
  • Supports leaders of Finance, Accounting and Functional leads on departmental spending.
  • Prepares Ad hoc reports and data requests as required

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelors' Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject matter combined with experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant financial experience.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Require strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. 
  • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, and Powerpoint.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation.
  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
