Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join the Original Casting Lighting Inc. Team in St Louis, MO. Responsible for overseeing daily transactions, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger.


What Will You Do?

• Assisting staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
• Analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with international
financial reporting standards.
• Managing and maximizing operational cash flow and working capital
• Accurately preparing tax documents and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a
timely manner.
• Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Supervising and providing overall guidance to accounting staff.
• Providing regular updates to Controller regarding company finances.
• Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.
• Partnering with external audit firms to support financial audits.
• Partnering with Controller to maintain, establish and modify internal controls


Required Skills

  • Must have strong financial control background and demonstrated problem solving and
    analytical skills. Must demonstrate good judgment, well developed business ethics,
    integrity, and consultancy skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation
    software, e-mail, and meeting management software. Expert level Microsoft Excel skills
    are required. JDEdwards experience is highly desired. Experience on other fully
    integrated ERP system is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and conflict
    resolution skills required. Must have the ability to communicate persuasively and
    effectively and manage multiple priorities in an intense, deadline driven environment.
    Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement
    processes to prevent errors. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize,
    organize, and accomplish a diversified workload.
  • Must have the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization and
    be able to work independently as well as within a variety of teams. Must be able to
    handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
    Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and
    be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Requires close attention to detail, ability
    to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish
    proactive corrective actions.
  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas
    within the business. Must have a hands-on approach, spending a significant amount of
    time working in the production environment.
