Position Description

AT A GLANCE:


 


Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Lab Intern to join the Electrical Wiring Devices Team in Syracuse, NY. We design and manufacture the most advanced wiring device solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets.


 


What you will learn:



  • How to test electrical products for mechanical and electrical performance

  • Assist with research and development testing during creation phase of product.

  • In collaboration with Test Engineers, inspect products for flaws and identify areas of improvement.

  • Collect, record, and analyze data using electronic test equipment.

Qualifications

Education:



  • Within one year of Associate of Science Degree in EE technology


Experience:



  • Experience with electrical products and residential or commercial electrical systems


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:



  • Ability to use electronic test equipment, such as, Oscilloscopes, Electronic Loads, Meters,

  • Experience programming microcontrollers

  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook.

  • Ability to work on live high voltage circuits.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
