Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the Server Technology Team in Reno, NV.


Under direction of the Office Administrator, the Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service to
answer questions and provide Company information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other
interested parties. The Receptionist will perform a variety of administrative tasks and data entry. This position
ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently, and according to the established departmental
and company policies, procedures and goals. The Receptionist, as with all members of the Legrand Team, is
expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity,
and exercise confidentiality.

Budget: No direct budgetary responsibility

Main Job Duties:
• Operate telephone switchboard (8x8 system) to answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information,
take messages, or schedule appointments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to respond to routine questions and provide information in a timely
• Respond to department voice messages and e-mail and coordinate follow-up responses.
• Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them
to specific destinations.
• Use appropriate resources to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public.
• Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
• Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
• Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, data entry, or operating calculators or
computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
• Create and maintain documents and spreadsheets.
• Open, sort and route incoming mail. Attach packing slips/work orders to incoming invoices.
• Operate and maintain postage meter.
• Post accounting invoices on clipboard.
• Attach Accounts Receivable check stubs to accounting invoices on clipboard.
• Respond to requests for W-9s and supplier forms.
• As directed, coordinate food orders for meetings. Verify quantities needed, contact restaurants, place
orders, coordinate food delivery, and take food to designated meeting rooms or areas. Set up designated
meeting rooms or areas with utensils and beverages as needed.
• Order, organize, and stock office and break room storage areas. Ensure that available supplies are stocked
and replenished as needed.
• Create, print, laminate, and post office signs, announcements, and miscellaneous flyers as needed.
• As directed, contact vendors and schedule repairs for building maintenance and emergency issues.
• File and maintain records. Archive accounting journals, accounting invoices and monthly sales order
• Keep a current record of staff members' whereabouts and availability.
• As directed, serve as a backup in preparing local, domestic, and international travel arrangements,
including air travel, car rental, and hotel accommodations.
• As directed, assist staff with shipping company packages and coordinating them with the Shipping
Department for proper transit.
• As Safety Committee member, record and file meeting minutes, conduct health and safety audits, and
collect/file audit sheets from other members as needed.
• Set up and break down audio/video equipment for company meetings.
• As needed, assist HR with employee events, recognition, scheduling interviews, etc.
• Act as backup to Operations leaders for conducting field tours.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills


Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college, preferred; or one
year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 6 months’ receptionist and administrative support experience.

• Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple
groups in the Company including Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and high
attention to detail.
• Familiarity of ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 standards and audit process.

Work environment is fast-paced and priorities can shift quickly. All employees are expected to go outside their
primary responsibilities when required, and multi-task job duties on a regular basis. While performing the duties
of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with
hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and may rarely
lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with
