Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Specification Consultant to join the Wiremold Team in Northern California

 

This position is remote but the ideal candidate must reside in Northern California, preferably Sacramento, San Francisco, or the Bay area.     

 

What Will You Do?

Establish, grow, and maintain a strong presence within the specification and contractor communities. Develop and maintain a project pipeline reflective of market opportunities. Increase awareness among all relevant stakeholders on the value of the company’s complete electrical and data communication infrastructure systems and solutions. The successful candidate is accountable for meeting and exceeding territory quota.

 

Main Activities:

  • Organization: Individual Contributor competency model
  • Main Interface: Develop and maintain a network of internal and external customers including the complete architecture and engineering design community, contractors and end users (Key Legrand vertical markets).
  • Budget: Accountable for meeting and exceeding territory quota. Weekly expense management.

 

Main Job Duties:

  1. Write and secure LNA product specifications with key specification influences
  2. Establish relationships at A & E Firms through
  • Design Assistance
  • Implementing Legrand Master Spec
  • Continuing Education Seminars
  1. Establish relationships with key stakeholders at electrical contractors
  • Design Assistance
  • Legrand Solution Training
  • Project Management
  1. Establish relationships with major End Users in key verticals.
  2. Collaborate with entire sales force within the Legrand family
  3. Support local sales team in their efforts at targeted distribution partners. This may include assistance with business reviews, training, and trade shows.
  4. Maximize the sales tools, including daily usage of CRM software. Fully understand and utilize training and materials provided to support sales activities. Optimize time and territory management.
  5. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction industry experience. 

Experience: 

  • 5 years of sales and/or marketing excellence or 10 plus years of experience in one of the following industries or disciplines: electrical, communications, construction, A/V technology, engineering, architecture, or interior design 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills. Able to creatively demonstrate new product concepts using professional selling skills. Lead project teams through the Construction Sales Process.
  • Able to assist with the creation of specification documents including engineering drawings and submittals. Perform engineering and budgetary analysis including specification writing and take-off assistance. Partner with sales team for complete market penetration.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one or group presentation situations. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and industry contacts.
