Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Set Up Operator Laser/Turret to join the Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI. 

 

What Will You Do?

Set-up and operation of assigned machine on assigned Track, according to manufacturing procedures and scheduling requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

ALL LASERS AND TURRETS:

· Set-up and operation of all Lasers and Turrets

· Maintain tool inventory; keep tools clean and orderly

· Utilize space in an efficient manner

· Assist in efficient flow of raw materials routed to the Tracks, Stock and Paint

· Assist in down-stream operations as needed, depending on flow and workload

· Correctly punch in and out of all job assignments

· Correctly fill out receipt/issue tickets as needed when materials cannot be processed in system

· Recommend improved methods, equipment, procedures and systems to increase efficiency and quality

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

ONLY TURRETS and/or ONLY LASERS:

· Set-up and operation of only Turrets and/or only Lasers

· Maintain tool inventory; keep tools clean and orderly

· Utilize space in an efficient manner

· Assist in efficient flow of raw materials routed to the Tracks, Stock and Paint

· Assist in down-stream operations as needed depending on flow and workload

· Correctly punch in and out of all job assignments

· Fill out receipt/issue tickets as needed when materials cannot be processed in system

· Recommend improved methods, equipment, procedures and systems to increase efficiency and quality

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SHEAR, PUNCH PRESS, STUD WELDERS AND MATERIAL HANDLER:

· Set-up and operation of Shear, Punch Press, Stud Welders and Material Handler

· Maintain tool inventory; keep tools clean and orderly

· Utilize space in an efficient manner

· Assist in efficient flow of raw materials routed to the Tracks, Stock and Paint

· Assist in down-stream operations as needed depending on flow and work load

· Correctly punch in and out of all job assignments

· Fill out receipt/issue tickets as needed when materials cannot be processed in system

· Unload all incoming raw materials from trucks

· Receive all raw materials in system

· Recommend improved methods, equipment, procedures and systems to increase efficiency and quality

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Follow safety rules, safe operating procedures and practices; help ensure all employees follow safety rules, procedures and practices

· Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work areas

· Active participation in ongoing individual training /development program

· Set goals and objectives with Supervisor; look for ways to improve quality, productivity and flow of process

· Report abnormalities in machines, programs, materials, processes, etc.

· Perform other related duties in down-stream processes as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must demonstrate ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions

· Must demonstrate basic blue print reading skills

· High caliber of quality control; strong skills in observing/inspecting own work

· Strong written and verbal English communication skills as required to discuss training, general direction and other machine operations-related tasks; motivate all employees in department

· Ability to work within a team environment

· Must possess positive, "can do" attitude.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

· Must be able to bend, reach overhead, push/pull pallet truck, push/pull parts on work surface.

 

EQUIPMENT USED:

· Metal fabrication machines in assigned area (Lasers, Turrets, Shear, Punch Press and/or Stud Welder); forklift and computer PC/terminals
