Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Stock Clerk to join the Finelite Team in Union City, CA.

 

The Stock Clerk is responsible for movement of materials and goods from receiving to a proper location into inventory, and to pull parts from stock based on production schedule and as directed. The work schedule adjusts according to the Production schedule with frequent changes, overtime and evening/weekend hours.

 

What Will You Do?

 

MAIN JOB DUTIES:

  • Receives incoming stock and materials; moves stock to correct locations in a timely manner
  • Safely uses hand trucks, carts and forklifts (stand-up and sit down) to move material to and from loading/unloading docks and within the factory storage area
  • Uses basic stock room tools including RF scanners
  • Identify and report any damage or discrepancies
  • Completes shipping/receiving reports
  • Conduct cycle counts with accuracy
  • Locates stock and delivers items to their requestor
  • Keep stockroom inventoried and clean
  • Ensure all work procedures and safety regulations are followed
  • Communicate in person and via email within and outside the Logistics Department, including outside groups

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High school diploma; college a plus

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year warehouse shipping, receiving or stockroom experience
  • Clean and valid California drivers license, Class C

SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience and ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as sit down and stand up forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks and stretch wrap/tape dispensers, RF scanner, tape machines, affix labels, etc.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the position; standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, extended work hours, and work in a non-climate controlled warehouse
  • Previous experience with Cycle Counting and performing Physical Inventory Audits
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must display high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience communicating within the company and with outside groups via email.
