Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Supervisor to join the Legrand team in Union, OH.

 

The Inventory Control Supervisor will be an essential position in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure inventory accuracy within the Dayton Operations Center. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will lead the cycle counts a program. Will assist in optimizing inventory control procedures and implementing best practices

 

Main Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely. 15%
  • Coordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment. 5%
  • Report the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts 5%Coordinate the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed 5%
  • Monitor and report all inventory metrics. 5%
  • Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. 10%
  • Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels. 10%
  • Expedites the daily flow of all special order SKU’s to include receiving, labeling, locating and timely shipping. 5%
  • Monitors special order returns, provides reporting and ensures quick returns. 5%
  • Coordinates and performs the taking of physical inventories in accordance with the Legrand requirements. 5%
  • Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request, collaboration with QA department. 5%
  • Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring it is accounted for and properly handled by dumping, reconditioning, or returning to producing plant. 5%
  • Supervises all inventory control personnel, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggest inventory improvements to OEM. 5%
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management. 5%
  • Responsible for Inventory Documentation Management 5%
  • Interview, select, coach, train, manage and appraise the performance of inventory personnel. 5%

Qualifications

Education: BS preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum three years in a distribution environment with a minimum of two years effectively leading others.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must.
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load.
  • Advanced computer skills in MSW, PP, Excel and PKMS
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment. Must foster open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
