At a Glance

 

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Software QA Intern to join the Building Control Systems WattStopper Team in Carlsbad, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing software automation code to interface with consumer electronics, third party devices, and other related systems. You could also develop and test user interface software and applications running on mobile platforms as well as contribute your skills to other software products.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Testing firmware on devices.
  • User interface testing.
  • Create and manage test scenarios.
  • Execute manual and automated testing scenarios.
  • Report and manage software bugs.
  • Design implementation and protocol documentation.
  • Technical team support as well as Alpha and Beta test groups.
  • Opportunities for other related software testing and development projects.
  • Utilization of the Scrum Agile software development framework.

Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:

  • Some college coursework completed / Undergraduate.

Experience:

  • Experience writing automation code in an integrated development environment.
  • Knowledge in Python and C preferrable.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Building test automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of SQA methodologies and procedures.
  • Development and execution of new test scenarios.
  • Bug reporting and management experience.
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
